The Ministry of Labor and Social Development amended the model Internal Work Regulations (IWR) to prohibit segregation and wage discrimination between males and females and introduce the requirement to obtain the employee’s written consent in the event of a transfer from one workplace to another. Noncompliance with the amended model IWR is subject to a penalty of SAR 10,000.
