Lockton Names Sou Ford Southeast Cyber Practice Leader

Lockton today announced the appointment of Sou Ford as Southeast Cyber Practice Leader as the broker continues to invest in industry-leading cyber insurance talent and resources to serve its clients.

Ford joins Lockton from Willis Towers Watson, where she most recently served as Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Cyber Practice Leader. She brings more than three decades of experience in executive lines to Lockton, including nearly 25 years of cyber insurance experience. Before joining Willis Towers Watson, Ford spent five years as an underwriter.

Based in Atlanta, Ford will serve as the strategic leader for an already strong and experienced cyber team, building on Lockton’s momentum in both the Southeast region and nationally. Lockton’s Southeast team also includes Neel Desai, who joined in 2021 from Hiscox, where he was the insurer’s Cyber Claims Leader. Ford’s appointment also follows Lockton’s recent addition of Michelle Faylo — previously AIG’s North America Head of Cyber & Professional Liability — as U.S, Cyber & Technology Leader.

“Businesses need best-in-class advice and guidance to stay ahead of their complex and diverse cyber risk challenges,” said Neil Metzheiser, President, Lockton Atlanta. “We’re excited to bring Sou on board to help us continue to deliver unmatched cyber knowledge and expertise to Lockton’s clients.”

“Sou has earned a reputation as a respected authority on cyber insurance and risk management,” said Rodger Laurite, Practice Leader, Lockton Financial Services Southeast. “Adding her to our cyber team reflects Lockton’s commitment to building the industry’s best cyber insurance broking team.”
