Lockton announced today the hiring of Drew Hermiller and Eileen Kuo as Senior Vice Presidents in its Transaction Liability team, with a focus on tax insurance. Hermiller and Kuo both join Lockton after prior careers as tax attorneys, bringing extensive expertise and acumen that will benefit the firm’s clients.

Hermiller joins Lockton from Hunton Andrews Kurth, LLP, where he was previously a senior tax attorney. He has over eight years of experience advising on a variety of complex tax matters, including significant work on renewable energy credit transactions, an area of continued growth in the tax insurance space. Hermiller also previously practiced tax law at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher and Flom, LLP and Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough, LLP.

Kuo has over eight years of experience advising on a variety of complex tax matters and joins Lockton from her role as a senior tax attorney at Milbank LLP. She began her tax career with the transactional tax practice of Paul Hastings LLP structuring tax-efficient solutions for various cross-border and domestic transactions.

The additions of Hermiller and Kuo are the latest example of Lockton’s industry-leading Transaction Liability team’s commitment to the tax insurance space. These hirings come on the heels of the 2023 addition of Doug Brody, a seasoned tax professional who previously brokered tax insurance solutions at another international insurance broker, and prior to that, was a Partner in EY's Transaction Tax Practice.
