Lockton, the world’s largest privately held independent insurance brokerage, today announced that Brendan Fitzpatrick has joined the firm’s Cyber & Technology Practice as the new Vice President, Cyber Risk Consultant.
Fitzpatrick brings to Lockton nearly 15 years of experience as an advisor on cybersecurity improvement planning and operational resilience. He has previously held senior cybersecurity roles at Axio, the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Melon University, and the U.S. Army Cyber Command.
Fitzpatrick’s appointment reflects the need for businesses and others to adopt holistic cyber risk management programs. In his new role, Fitzpatrick will help Lockton clients understand and improve their risk posture given the ever-changing cyber and privacy threat landscape.
“An insurance policy is just one pillar of an effective cyber risk management strategy, and Brendan’s appointment ensures our risk management offering to clients take a much broader approach. By integrating his exceptional expertise in cybersecurity risk control and resilience, Brendan’s work will empower businesses of all sizes to better navigate the constantly evolving threat landscape with greater confidence,” said Michelle Faylo, US Cyber & Technology Leader.
“The fact we are able to attract top tier talent such as Brendan reflects our continued commitment to building risk management capabilities that meet our clients’ exacting needs in their cybersecurity journey,” Faylo added.
