Lockton, the world's largest privately held insurance brokerage, has announced a series of national leadership appointments, reinforcing Lockton’s dedication to key industries while expanding the firm’s expertise and industry focus.
Matthew Payne has been named U.S. Transportation Practice Leader. Payne, who has served in several leadership roles at Lockton since joining the firm in 1998, most recently was the Transportation and Energy Team Leader for the firm’s region that includes Kansas City, Birmingham, Des Moines, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Minneapolis, and Omaha.
Rob Hausler has been named U.S. Energy Practice Leader. Hausler joined Lockton in 2018 and most recently served as the Marine and Energy Practice Leader for the firm’s Texas region. Before joining Lockton, he spent more than 30 years serving in leadership roles with other insurance companies and brokerages, focusing most of his work on the energy sector.
Eric Braverman has been named U.S. Law Firms Practice Leader. Braverman joined Lockton in 2024 as Professional Services Practice Leader for the firm’s Midwest region. Previously, he worked as a managing director at Aon, as a litigation attorney at Morrison Hecker, and in several other leadership roles throughout his more than 35 years in the insurance and legal industries.
For the marine industry, Lockton has appointed Anita Farmer and Rob Cairo as U.S. Cargo & Logistics Practice Leaders, and Jana Byron as U.S. Marine Risks & Liability Practice Leader. Farmer and Cairo both joined Lockton in 2018 and most recently were co-leaders of the Marine Practice for the firm’s Northeast region. Farmer has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry with a strong background in cargo-related and specialty risks. Cairo’s 25 years of experience spans all marine lines of business. Byron is a maritime attorney with more than 27 years of experience in protection & indemnity. She joined Lockton in 2020 and most recently served as Practice Leader and Exclusive U.S. Representative for P.L. Ferrari, which was acquired by Lockton.
Other U.S. practice leaders who were announced recently include Brad Zechman and David Salvucci, U.S. Life Sciences Practice Leaders; Ethan Crain and Becky Cady, U.S. Healthcare Practice Leaders; and Paul Primavera, U.S. Construction Practice Leader.
