Lockton announces new U.S. Casualty Leadership

Lockton, the world’s largest privately held insurance brokerage, has announced new leadership appointments within its U.S. Casualty business. Peter Rapciewicz has been named U.S. Casualty Leader, and Jessica Cullen has been appointed Head of Excess Casualty and Operations.

In his new role, Rapciewicz will oversee the strategic direction and growth of Lockton’s casualty offerings across the U.S., reporting directly to Devin Beresheim, Lockton’s U.S. Risk Solutions Leader. Cullen will help further strengthen Lockton's casualty capabilities and support the continued growth of its excess liability platform. She will report to Rapciewicz.

Rapciewicz brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to the role, including over a decade of leadership at Lockton. Most recently, he served as Alternative Risk Solutions Practice Leader, where he led the team to significant growth and delivered innovative approaches across a broad suite of solutions, including parametric insurance, structured risk solutions, captive consulting, fronting arrangements, alternative collateral strategies, and legacy solutions on a global scale. He also played a pivotal role in establishing Lockton’s Global Parametric Practice, uniting experts from across the globe to help clients explore more creative and effective risk transfer strategies.

Cullen joined Lockton in 2024 as Head of the U.S. Casualty Practice, London, where she led a team of specialists delivering global casualty insurance solutions across multiple industries, and geographies. She brings 20 years of insurance industry experience to the role, most recently serving as Managing Director of the Casualty Practice at Gallagher.

“Navigating the complex world of casualty requires a deep understanding of the challenges businesses face,” said Beresheim. “Pete and Jessica are proven leaders with a strong reputation of innovation and solving complex problems for our clients. I am confident that with their technical expertise, strategic mindset, and unwavering commitment to client service, our clients will get the right solutions to help their businesses thrive.”

“I’m excited to take on the role of U.S. Casualty Leader,” said Rapciewicz. “Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with our outstanding Alternative Risk Solutions team during a period of tremendous growth. In this new role, I'm fortunate to continue working with Devin, eager to collaborate with Jessica, and grateful for the opportunity to keep working with the incredible colleagues and clients we have at Lockton.”

“Although I joined Lockton just a year and a half ago, it’s already proven to be an exceptional place to build a career and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ businesses,” said Cullen. “I’m thrilled about this opportunity and look forward to working with Pete, Devin, and our outstanding team of casualty experts across the globe as we enhance our casualty offerings across the U.S.”

Rapciewicz and Cullen are based in New York City.
