The Italian parliament recently passed law no. 81/2017, also known as the “smart working law.” The new law aims at improving the work-life balance of employees who work remotely from home on a part time or full-time basis. According to the new law, flexible working agreement should be in writing, define the employee’s working conditions and respect the employee’s right to “disconnect.”
