Diversity and inclusion matters

On July 22nd, 2020, Lockton Talent & Culture Institute hosted a Virtual Learning Series event, Diversity and Inclusion Matters: Now what? The audience engaged with a distinguished panel of thought leaders in this space for a candid discussion about employer response to racial injustice and advancing diversity, equity, inclusion in the workplace and society. Recent events have made diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial injustice some of the most pressing issues for employers to address today. Many employers have issued statements and commitments to address this critical societal and business imperative.

The session was broken into two segments:

  • Tone at the top: D&I as a board and C-suite imperative

    • Where should companies start with creating a D&I strategy?

    • How can companies ensure that D&I is truly a board and c-suite imperative, and not just a surface statement or box to check off for legal and compliance purposes?

  • D&I employer response: Now & next

    • What have organizations been doing to address D&I, systemic racism and racial injustice?

    • How can organizations use research and analytics to understand and improve their D&I practices?

Special thanks to our guest experts and panelists for contributing their insights to this session.
