On 16 April 2018, the government of Cyprus extended the period of protection from dismissal for pregnant employees from three to five months after the end of maternity leave. Law 20(I)/2018 also establishes the right for employees to breastfeed or pump and store milk in the workplace, as well as requiring employers to provide appropriate facilities for those purposes.
