Last week, Lockton joined other supporters of Insurance United against Dementia (opens a new window) (IUAD) to celebrate raising £10 million for Alzheimer’s Society.
In 2017, the founding IUAD board members, including Lockton Partner Paul Jack, started a campaign to support dementia research and help end the devastation caused by dementia. Funds raised have now powered work at the world-leading UK Dementia Research Institute, enabled Alzheimer’s Society to launch an entirely new support service, and much more.
Supporting the communities in which we operate is a key priority for Lockton. It is embedded in our culture. Associates and Partners are supported to take time out for charitable activity and volunteering. Each year, our Associates get the opportunity to vote for a Charity of the Year, for which a range of fundraising activities are organized across the company. Alzheimer’s Society has been our Charity of the Year three times, and over this period, Associates have raised £579,000 for the charity.
IUAD now has an ambitious goal to raise another £10 million, which will be used to invest in research, drive innovations, and ensure that care and support are available to everyone who needs them. The IUAD will continue to unite the insurance industry to raise vital funds and awareness. Please donate to the IUAD via the website (opens a new window).
