Oslo, 5 October 2026: Lockton, the world's largest independent insurance broker, has strengthened its Professional and Executive Risk (ProExec) practice in Norway with the promotion of Aksel Jebsen to Head of ProExec Norway and the appointment of Robert Øyri as Senior Vice President, ProExec.
Based in Oslo, Aksel and Robert will work closely with Norwegian and multinational clients, delivering strategic risk advisory and insurance solutions to boards, executives and companies operating across various sectors including professional services, energy, renewables, technology, industrials, marine, financial institutions, and aquaculture.
Aksel has been a key member of Lockton's Energy, Renewables and Complex Risks team for the past two years, delivering bespoke insurance brokerage and risk advisory services to complex multinational organizations. Prior to joining Lockton, he worked as a broker, lawyer, and M&A advisor at Aon Norway and has extensive experience as a multiline claims handler. In addition, he regularly serves as a lecturer for the Norwegian Insurance Broker Association’s continuous education programme. His promotion reflects Lockton's continued investment in developing internal talent and strengthening its specialist capabilities in Norway.
Robert joins Lockton from Aon Norway, where he was a specialist financial lines broker in their Nordic financial lines team. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, he brings extensive technical and commercial expertise from both the insurer and client side, including roles as an underwriter and multiline claims handler. His appointment further reinforces Lockton's commitment to building market-leading expertise and client solutions across the Nordic region.
In their new roles, Aksel and Robert will advise clients on complex risk issues and the placement of tailored financial lines programs, including Directors' & Officers' Liability (D&O), Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Employment Practices Liability, Crime Insurance, and Public Offering of Securities (POSI).
Øyvind Larsen, CEO of Lockton Norway, said: “The economic landscape is changing rapidly, driven in part by geopolitical developments, reinforcing our clients' need for even closer, more strategic and higher-value advisory support. Aksel's promotion marks an important step in the continued growth of our ProExec practice. His combination of leadership, technical expertise, and market insight makes him exceptionally well placed to lead our next phase of growth for Norwegian and multinational clients.
Robert's arrival further strengthens our team, bringing extensive experience with some of the market's most complex financial lines programmes and deep expertise across professional and executive risks. Together with our existing ProExec specialists locally and the support of Lockton's Nordic and global ProExec teams, we have built a market-leading platform to serve clients facing increasingly complex risk environments.”
Aksel Jebsen, Head of ProExec Norway, said: “This new role provides an exciting opportunity to strengthen the proposition we offer our clients. Robert’s arrival further enhances our talented Nordic ProExec team and our ability to deliver expert advice and innovative solutions to Norwegian and multinational clients. By drawing on the capabilities of Lockton’s ProExec specialists worldwide, we are well positioned to support clients as their risks become increasingly complex.”
