In a significant step towards supporting youths with special needs, Lockton MENA has donated $25,000 to the Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination. This contribution, facilitated through the Lockton Cares Community Impact Award, recognizes the outstanding efforts of the Lockton MENA team in driving positive change within the community.
Ata Khatib, Chairman of Lockton MENA, expressed his admiration for the program stating, “We are proud to continue our partnership with Al Noor, which began in 2022. Our commitment to fostering a strong community is deeply ingrained in Lockton’s culture. This donation is a testament to our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact where it matters most."
This year's donation will specifically fund Al Noor's Vision Rehabilitation Program, an initiative aimed at addressing the unique needs of students at high risk for visual impairments. The program provides a comprehensive suite of services and resources that fill essential gaps in Al Noor's curriculum, including communication and literacy development, learning Braille, enhancing orientation and mobility, and utilizing technology for environmental adaptations. The initiative is expected to impact the lives of approximately 80 to 90 students, offering them the tools and support needed to navigate their daily lives more independently.
Through initiatives like the Vision Rehabilitation Program, Lockton MENA continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting the communities it serves.
