Lockton, the world’s largest independent brokerage firm, has begun a three-year partnership with Tate, a group of four galleries: Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. This new partnership will focus on three upcoming exhibitions at Tate Britain. From October 2023 it will also support an expanded community programme at Tate Britain.
The partnership will allow Lockton and Tate to deliver on their shared agenda of promoting artistic risk-taking, community engagement and access to art for all. Our partnership also means that our UK Associates will get access to the Tate exhibitions and will be an integral part of the relationship.
Tate first opened its doors to the public in 1897 with one site. Today it has four major sites and holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international art from 1900 to the present day, including nearly 70,000 pieces of art.
EJ Hentenaar, CEO of Lockton Europe, said: “Lockton is incredibly proud to launch our new multi-year partnership with Tate, encompassing our shared values of independence, diversity and inclusion. I am particularly excited about our support of the community programme next year, allowing us to deliver on our shared ambitions and foster greater cultural awareness.”
