Expanding our National Footprint: Adelaide

Lockton opens its first Adelaide office and announces the appointment of two highly regarded South Australian brokers

Lockton, the world’s largest privately-owned insurance brokerage, has expanded its Australian footprint and opened an Adelaide office, whilst also announcing the appointment of two Client Directors, Matthew Linke and Andrew Thornton.

Mr. Linke and Mr. Thornton have more than five decades of collective experience in insurance and risk across a wide range of industries in South Australia, including agribusiness, aged care, community services, faith, food & beverage, forestry, manufacturing and transportation. Reporting into Ian Maybury, General Manager, Industry Specialties, Mr. Linke and Mr. Thornton will help clients navigate an increasingly complex insurance market, providing specialist advice and guidance.

Paul Marsden, Lockton Pacific CEO, said the appointment of Mr. Linke and Mr. Thornton responds to a critical need for specialised expertise in the region, particularly as the local market shifts in favour of insurance buyers following an influx of insurer capital. “As we continue to raise the bar on service levels offered, it is paramount that we have local, specialist-led risk and insurance capabilities across all capital cities, allowing Lockton to be a truly national broker.
