Lockton has celebrated a record-breaking year at the 2026 MACA Cancer 200 – Ride for the Perkins (opens a new window), raising an incredible $95,655.46 for cancer research, our highest fundraising total in a single year.
The result brings Lockton’s total contribution over the years to $605,023.72, marking another significant milestone in our ongoing support of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
This year, Lockton also cemented its position as the 15th largest corporate fundraising team participating in the ride.
Riding together for an important cause
Across two days, our riders took on the 200-kilometre return journey, supported every step of the way by an incredible crew who kept spirits high and the team moving.
Our very own Ryan Walpole was among those who took on the Challenge Ride on Day One, adding an extra 40 kilometres to the 100-kilometre journey.
Ross Coldwell, also reached an impressive personal fundraising milestone, raising $15,000 in support of the cause. Reflecting on the achievement, Lockton's Team Captain Nikki Oliver said:
“Seeing us achieve our biggest fundraising year yet is something I’m incredibly proud of. Every member of Team Lockton has their own reason for riding, and those shared experiences are what bring us together and keep us motivated year after year.
“What makes this team special is that it’s about much more than two days on a bike. It’s months of fundraising, supporting one another and bringing colleagues, clients, family and friends together behind a cause we genuinely believe in. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but even more driven by the difference we’re helping make.”
