Aret started his career as a P&I correspondent and Lloyd’s of London agent in Istanbul in 1976. Over his 50-year career, he has achieved significant milestones, including being among the first members of the Assembly of the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, representing Türkiye in the International Chamber of Shipping and teaching marine insurance courses in Istanbul University Shipping Management graduate school.
