Collection and Use of Personal Data

When registering for our events, we ask for details that contain personal data. This includes your name, job title, company name, contact information (including phone number and email address), dietary or access requirements, and other information relevant to our events.

Where you provide us with details of others (colleagues, family and friends), you do so with the knowledge of the person noted. Please share a copy of this notice with them.

Please note that photographs and/or videos (collectively ‘Recordings’) may be taken during our events. Lockton may use such Recordings in internal and external communications, as well as for event management purposes. This could be in print and online (including social media).

Lawful Basis for Processing

The legal basis on which we rely to process personal data and communicate with you is our legitimate interest under article 6(1)(f) of GDPR.

To process information about dietary or access requirements, we rely on consent under article 9(2)(a) of GDPR.

To process Recordings, we rely on consent under article 6(1)(a) of GDPR. By participating in our events, you consent to Lockton using Recordings where you or your registered guests are visible, in particular group/crowd photographs for the purposes mentioned above. Hosting Events

We share your personal data with other organisations involved in hosting our event. Where we use an external venue or catering company, we will share with them any dietary or access requirements that you provide us, so that we can meet your needs. Security

We put in place measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal data, and to comply with our data protection, confidentiality, and security standards.

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We will only share your personal data with others, including companies within the Lockton group, when we are legally permitted to do so.

Data Transfer

We may need to transfer your data to other companies, including within the Lockton group, located outside of the UK and/or European Economic Area. Those transfers would always be made in compliance with data protection legislation.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data for two years from the date of the event after which your personal data will be anonymised.
