January 9, 2025: Lockton is delighted to announce that Chief People Officer, Martyn Worsley, has been shortlisted for the British Diversity Awards’ HR Diversity Champion of the Year and our Associate Resource Group for under 35s, Ignite, has been shortlisted for Outstanding Employee Network of the Year.
The Award winners will be announced on 19 March 2025 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor Hotel, London. The British Diversity Awards promote DEI by recognising those individuals and organisations who continually strive to make workplaces and society more inclusive for all.
The HR Diversity Champion of the Year Award is given to a leading HR professional who has leveraged their influence to ensure that the values of diversity and fairness are at the heart of their organisation’s HR policies and to ensure their workplace has diverse talent covering all sections of the workplace. Martyn is leading a transformative DEI journey across Lockton, reshaping it from a traditional HR-led initiative into a core business led priority embedded across every part of Lockton.
The Outstanding Employee Network of the Year Award goes to the Network which has achieved the most to make people feel valued in the workplace. Ignite’s mission is to engage and support early-career professionals, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. Ignite has led mentorship programmes, educational sessions, graduate events and community engagement, such as mentoring in prisons.
As a privately-owned, independent insurance broker, Lockton has built a culture of empowerment that allows our people to provide excellent service to clients, be engaged members of their communities and fuel their passions. It is our diverse perspectives that help make our clients’ businesses safer, smarter, and more successful.
All of us at Lockton wish Martyn and Ignite the best of luck at the Awards ceremony in March!
