New Head of Market Management Group, Asia

Lockton is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Turner as the Asia Head of Market Management Group (MMG), effective from August 21, 2024. Richard will play a key role in establishing Lockton Asia’s market-leading carrier management function by building and launching the Market Management Group (MMG) for the region.

With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Richard brings a wealth of expertise in business development and distribution functions. He was attracted to Lockton because of the company’s leadership and ambitious strategy, which the MMG will support and enhance to drive collective success. Richard’s vision to align Lockton Asia’s proposition with the specific needs of the region, while also supporting insurers' strategic goals of sustainable growth and diversified distribution.

Prior to joining Lockton, Richard held the position of Director at Howden, where he successfully built and led a team of four, managing 19 key strategic partners across the Asia region. He has also gained valuable experience at Hiscox and Aon, focusing on strategic account management and client engagement. Richard’s proven track record in managing key stakeholders and forming strategic partnerships, leveraging data analysis and market intelligence, will be instrumental in driving Lockton Asia’s growth.

Reporting directly to Warren Merritt, CEO of Lockton Asia, Richard will bring his expertise and leadership to drive the Market Management Group forward.
