Miami, March 11th, 2025 – Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of the world’s largest privately held independent insurance broker, is pleased to announce that Rodrigo Botti has joined the business as Treaty Country Head of Brazil, based in Sao Paulo as part of the Lockton Re Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) team.

Botti served as Vice President, CFO, and Chief Actuarial and Technology Officer at IRB Re, was the founding partner and CEO of Terra Brasis Resseguros, and represented Patria Re in Brazil. He has actively contributed to the development of the Brazilian reinsurance market, including the structuring of innovative risk transfer solutions. He also served as President of ANRe (Associação Nacional das Resseguradoras Locais) and Vice President of Fenaber (Federação Nacional das Empresas de Resseguros). Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking, specializing in the structuring and trading of fixed income, foreign exchange, and credit financial instruments. He holds a degree in Engineering from USP, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation from CPCU.
