Insurance Brokerage Grows Its Regional Presence and Community Impact
Lockton Insurance Brokers, LLC, the Pacific region of global insurance broker Lockton Companies, recently announced Alex Michon as president of its Sacramento operations, where he will continue to build upon the record-setting growth and client service excellence he has established over the past five years.

Michon has nearly three decades of experience in the commercial insurance industry. He joined Lockton in 2016 as executive vice president and built the Sacramento office from ground up to a thriving operation, where he leads a team of 34 property-casualty insurance and employee benefits experts.
“There’s been a lot of turbulence in the brokerage industry today, characterized by failed mergers and consolidations. This has given us access to an unprecedented pool of top talent looking for the stability of an independent broker committed to private ownership,” explains Michon, who is focused on revenue growth, producer development and overall client experience as president. “Nothing drives growth like talent, and our team will continue to be the secret sauce of our growth strategy as well as our value to clients.”
As a client advocate, Michon helps some of the largest and most sophisticated organizations in California manage their risk, protect their balance sheets and solve their complex business challenges. He was named one of the top 100 Commercial Brokers in the US in 2013 and 2015 by Risk & Insurance® due to his work in restructuring insurance programs resulting in large reductions in the cost of risk. Michon specializes in managed care and multinational organizations that require complex regulatory compliance.
He co-leads Lockton’s Global Healthcare Practice Group and serves on Lockton Pacific Series’ Executive Committee, which provides strategic direction and financial oversight of nine offices throughout California and Oregon.

Michon received a B.S. in Business from California State University, Fresno. He is actively involved in the community where he serves on the boards of a number of organizations including Catholic Schools Advisory Commission (CSAC) and Granite Ridge Home Nursing Care.
