Ferrari is pleased to announce the appointment of Giulio Dragone as Head of Technical Advisory within its Asset & Bond Solutions practice, a specialist practice bringing together expertise across construction, real estate, infrastructure, natural resources, asset-related risks and surety solutions.
In a market increasingly shaped by complex construction projects, large-scale real estate investments and growing requirements for guarantees and bonds, Giulio’s appointment represents a further strengthening of Lockton P.L. Ferrari’s technical and advisory capabilities, supporting clients throughout the full lifecycle of asset‑intensive projects.
With over 22 years of experience in engineering, construction insurance and risk engineering, Giulio brings a strong combination of technical expertise, international exposure and sector specialisation, developed across both insurer and advisory environments.
A significant part of Giulio’s professional background was built in London, where he worked as Senior Risk Engineer at Generali Global Corporate & Commercial. In the UK market, he provided technical advisory on complex construction and property risks, carrying out on‑site risk surveys, developing construction risk guidelines and supporting major claims on international infrastructure projects and real estate assets. This experience strengthened his ability to operate in highly technical, international and fast‑paced environments.
Before joining Lockton P.L. Ferrari, Giulio held senior leadership roles in Italy, including Underwriting Director for Engineering & Construction at Dual Italia, Engineering Underwriter Team Leader at Generali and Insurance Team Supervisor at Protos. In these roles, he was responsible for underwriting strategy and technical governance across portfolios covering major civil works, infrastructure developments and high‑value real estate assets, with a strong focus on risk quality, profitability and long‑term sustainability.
Giulio’s expertise spans the entire lifecycle of construction and real estate projects, from due diligence and risk engineering to tailored insurance programme design, loss prevention strategies and complex claims support. His early career also includes direct operational experience on major construction sites, providing him with a practical, hands‑on understanding of on‑site risk dynamics and project delivery challenges.
In his new role, Giulio will lead Technical Advisory activities across the Asset & Bond Solutions practice, working alongside specialist teams to support principals, contractors, developers, investors and asset owners with proactive, data‑driven technical advice. By leveraging Lockton’s global network, he will contribute to delivering integrated risk and surety solutions across construction, infrastructure and real estate portfolios, further reinforcing Lockton P.L. Ferrari’s client‑centric and technical positioning.
